Definitions:

Kelvin (abbreviations: K, or °K, or deg K): is a unit of measure for temperature based upon an absolute scale, thermodynamic temperature scale using as its null point absolute zero, the temperature at which all thermal motion ceases in the classical description of thermodynamics. It was first proposed in 1848 and is one of the seven base units in the International System of Units (SI).

Celsius (abbreviations: C, or °C, or deg C): also known as centigrade, is a SI metric scale and unit of measurement for temperature and used by most countries in the world. It is named with regard to the Swedish astronomer Anders Celsius (1701–1744), who developed a similar temperature scale.

How to Convert Degree Kelvin to Degree Celsius

Example: How many degree Celsius are equivalent to 71.58 degree Kelvin?

As;

1 degree Kelvin = X-273.15 degree Celsius

71.58 degree Kelvin = Y degree Celsius

Assuming Y is the answer, and by substitution principle;

Y equals ( 71.58-273.15 ) over 1, where X is substituted by 71.58

(i.e.) Y = ( 71.58-273.15 ) / 1 = -201.57 degree Celsius

Answer is: -201.57 degree Celsius are equivalent to 71.58 degree Kelvin.
